Noise Monitoring
Under Safety, Health and Welfare (Control of Noise at Work) Regulations 2006, employers are required to have high noise levels assessed and where applicable, reduce the noise at source. Where noise cannot be reduced at source employees working in that environment must be provided with Personal Protective Equipment (P.P.E) and receive instructions as to how and why they must wear such items.
A Gorman Health & Safety Noise Assessor will visit the client’s premises; assess the noise levels using a top of the range Bruel & Kjaer, fully calibrated, noise meter, draft a noise report making relevant recommendations and provide all employees with a short presentation entitled “In Defence of Your Hearing”.
