Cardiac First Responder Training

To provide participants exposed to first aid situations with the knowledge and skill to recognise cardiac arrest, perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

Objectives – On completion of this course participants will be able to:

  • Recognise Cardiac Arrest
  • Perform CPR
  • Use of Face Masks
  • Use an AED
  • Recognise Choking and Treatment
  • Stroke Assessment (FAST) and Treatment
  • Aspirin Administration
  • Critical Incident Stress Awareness
  • Legal Indemnity Issues

Certification:
All successful candidates will be certified with a Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council Certificate. Certification is valid for 2 years from date of issue, thereafter subject to re-certification.
